“MI CUERPO”

 

 

Dear Sapitos Parents:

In the month of September we will take a journey to discover our body.
We will be working on our fine motor skills. We will do this by working on hand-eye coordination, feet and eyes, the ability to use the eyes to follow and focus on objects, the precision in manipulating the hands and fingers to grasp objects and many more!!

We will also recognize the gross motor skills which are so necessary to control body movements, distinguishing the right and left side of the body, we will kick and throw the ball, we will ride the tricycle, and we will play “Simon says”.
It will be very fun!!!
*It would be nice if at home they could go up and down the stairs altering the feet without help.

 

Vocabulary:

Las manos ..The hands /   los pies..the toes/    la cabeza..The head/   los hombros .. The shoulders/          los codos..The elbows/    las piernas..The legs/    las rodillas..Knees/    el talon..heel.

Reminders:

*The student of the week will start the first week of September…!!

*Our Grandparents Celebration will be on September 5/14

* We will be close on Monday September 1^st in observation to Memorial Day!

SCHOOL YEAR WEEK 3

AUGUST 25TH TO 29TH 2014

“MY SCHOOL AND ME”- “MI ESCUELA Y YO”

Dear Sapitos Parents: 

I love seeing our class so excited and so receptive to learning.

This week we will close our theme " My school and me" and we will be learning about  “conociendo el personal de mi escuela y lo identifico” (knowing my school staff and I identify) the following way:

Monday:

·         With a camcorder in hand, it will be the Sapitos who will be interviewing the Director, assistant director, teachers and more!

Tuesday:

·         With the help of the video that they made, the kids will only listen to the voice and they will identify the staff.

Wednesday:

·         Just like the director, teachers, etc. Sapitos are an important part of SFF and they will draw themselves, it will be a beautiful work of art.

Thursday:

·         Every staff at SFF has routines to follow and Sapitos do too!

Friday:

·         We will identify our vocabulary of the month with singing and dancing.

Message:

The first happiness of a child is knowing that he/she is loved.

Dear Sapitos parents,

We have had a great starting week! The Sapitos are adjusting to the classroom routine. We also are learning our new songs, and we already love our "Buenos Días" song!.  This week was a great time of  adaptation  filled with excitement, curiosity, etc.  For some Sapitos it was a time to reconnect with friends and for others it was their first time arriving.  I loved the easy and fun way in which they have adapted.

  "Thank you parents, you did an excellent job".

As you already know, our theme is "Mi escuela y yo"

This week they learned to identify the different areas in the classroom, as well as adapting to the routine which we should learn and follow.

This week we will have a tour of the school:

Monday:  the office-the place where dad and mom Log in-log out.

Tuesday:  we will go to the gym ( if they could come in sweats/shorts and sneakers it would be great) thank you !

Wednesday:  we will visit other classroom..Abejitas, Mariquitas, Monitos y Ositos.

Thursday:  Mmm..smell delicious "the kitchen".

Friday:  the playground.

We will have lots to tell and fun!!

We are happy to start our new school year!!

This week theme will be  " My School and Me". We will tour the school to know the administration Office, playgrounds, rooms, etc.  We will talk about our room and centers. Also, this is a transition week, and we will talk about the rules of our classroom.

SUMMER CAMP WEEK 8

AUGUST 4TH TO 8TH 2014

“EL CIRCO”- “THE CIRCUS”

Dear Sapitos Parents:

This week we will be closing our summer camp with an exciting theme: the circus! The teachers will create and perform a circus act for the children. We will also be having our farewell party with music and lots of fun!

Special and Fun Activities:
Wednesday: We will do paper balls to juggle.

Thursday: We will make a summer closing party with areas where children and teachers can recreate the circus activities. This activity will be very fun!!!

We are very proud that this summer camp was recreational and educational for our Sapito’s Class!! They had a blast with the splash time and really enjoyed the rest of activities.
