          What we are learning?

Dear Parents,
 We hope you are having a beautiful week. This month our theme is “The Plants”. This coming week we will learn everything about the parts of the plant and the flowers and how to take care of them. They will learn about the significance of plants in our environment.
 We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Children will explore and discover all about the wonderful world of plants by observing images of the life cycle of the plant.

           Materials for Weekly Activities
 

·         Bring Easter eggs as donation for Easter Egg Hunt Celebration. You can drop them with the administration office. This is needed for April 13th, 2017.

·         Bring some leaves and petals for a special project on Thursday, April 6th, 2017. 

 


            Holidays & Upcoming Events

·         Easter Celebration (Easter Egg Hunt) on April 13th, 2017.

·         Coffee Talk on April 13th, 2017.

·         School is closed on Good Friday, April 14th, 2017.

·         International Fiesta on April 19th, 2017.

                    Dress Code

·         Girls should wear their dresses they have ordered online and boys should wear khaki shorts and red shirts (bottom down or polo style) for our International Fiesta. A fee of $5 per girl is needed to get the hair headband for the party.

                  Friendly Reminders


·         Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering the classroom and help your child to find his/her seat.

·         Read your child’s journal, blogs and Friday Newsletter. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in case you have any comment or any question about your child’s development or any notes/comments made in your child’s journal.

·         Avoid bringing your child with items that can cause distraction such as toys, necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc. This is needed to help him/her concentrate in the scheduled activities at school.

·         Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

·         Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

·         Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

·         Make sure to have enough pull-ups or diapers in the cubby for the day, if your child has not been potty-trained yet.

·         If your child is bringing a lunch box, please label it with your child’s name and date and place it in the kitchen refrigerator.

·         Label the food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared.

·         Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

People and Music around the World

Weekly Featured Theme: Getting to know America II
Week: March 27th to March 31st, 2017

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Sapitos Parents,

We continue with our theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about America. We will talk more about the Latin American countries where the teachers come from. We will talk about the languages that are spoken in the countries, music, their flag, their people, their traditions, culture and interesting places as well as their traditional food and musical instruments.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Children will know through these activities that diversity brings us a variety of information and experiences and lots of learning from different cultures. Children will enjoy discovering and exploring ceramic crafts and helping to prepare pan de bono from Colombia, arepas from Venezuela or causa from Peru.

We continue with our theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about America (USA, USA flag, US President, etc.) and Latin America. We will talk about all the countries that are part of America and the languages that are spoken in all of these countries. We will talk about music, their people, their traditions, culture and interesting places in all these countries.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. This week the activities are oriented to the exploration and discovery of a new wonderful culture by participating in fun live experiences.

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Sapitos Parents,

We will continuum talking about “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about the Europe continent. We will talk about their music, their people, their traditions and culture. Children will discover interesting facts about Europe geography and location, its Castles and historic places.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. This week the activities are oriented to the exploration and discovery of a new wonderful culture by participating in fun live experience events.
